Brendan O’ Carroll – Agnes Brown

Brendan O’Carroll is aged 63. Brendan O’Carroll is also well known for playing Agnes Brown on the show that is called Mrs Browns Boys. Agnes Brown is a mother of 4 sons and one daughter. Agnes Brown is the head of the family as years ago, her husband passed away. Agnes’ children are Cathy (Daughter), Trevor (Son), Dermot (Son), Mark (Son) and Rory (Son).

John Travolta – Edna Turnblad

John Travolta is aged 65. John Travolta is also known for playing Edna Turnblad in the film ‘Hairspray’. The role that John Travolta occupies is a mother of Tracy Turnblad (Nicky Blonsky). She is also a wife to Wilbur Turnblad (Christopher Walken). Edna is afraid of going outside of her home because of her weight which makes her self-conscious.

Robin Williams – Mrs. Doubtfire

Robin Williams was 63 years old before he died in 2014. Robin Williams was known for playing Mrs. Doubtfire in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire. Euphegenia Doubtfire aka Daniel Hilliard (To Brother and Partner) When Daniel came home, his family didn’t know that it was him underneath prosthetics (as I said before, only the brother and partner knew it was him).

How Could I Improve My Secondary Research?

I could have added more to put in to the script. Such as what the actual film is about such as Agnes Brown being the head of the family because her husband passed away etc. I could have also added more male actors and adding more female actresses who play male characters. The reason why I say this is because the script talks about RuPaul constantly throughout the script which people do not want to hear all of the time. Even though he is the most famous drag queen that their is.

How Can My Research Be Used In Scripts and Storyboard?

My research can be used in scripts because there are actors who play female characters. There is also what roles should be used for what gender such as should females always play female roles or should males always play male roles. Should it always be that way?

We did use some of these in our article such as Bart Simpson being voiced by a woman called Nancy Cartwright. We also added in our article when a female dressed up as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides. The actress who dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow is named Penelope Cruz. The rest of the article was mainly about RuPaul.

What Went Well?

There were a couple of things that went well. I could easily find who played who when it came to research such as who voiced Bart Simpson. I already knew but i had to double check and it was Nancy Cartwright. The amount of research that I had to do went well. Such as who played Mrs Brown or stuff like who played Mrs. Doubtfire.

What I could have done better?

The amount of scripts we had to do. Now, I know that we have to do about 3 but when it came to the script with Gender Equality, we had to do about 6. More examples. In the script, we had done loads of RuPaul, Now with one of those paragraphs, we could have added something else such as Mrs Brown or Mrs. Doubtfire.

How I could do it better?

I could have made it better by opening my mouth and saying ‘That is way too much of RuPaul’ instead of going along with it. Before we printed out the script, we could have asked one of our group members to go over it and see if we had to add any more details in to the script.
